Winterbrook led the land use and environmental compliance tasks for a new below-ground reservoir and the historic redevelopment of open water features in the Washington Park Reservoirs Historic District.
Winterbrook collaborated with City of Tigard planners and Clean Water Services to develop a new Plan District chapter for the city’s development code.
Working with Metro, Winterbrook prepared a Comprehensive Natural Resources Plan (CNRP) for the 2,100-acre Smith and Bybee Wetlands Natural Area in North Portland.
Winterbrook developed a tree grove inventory and assessment methodology and completed a comprehensive inventory of tree groves in the City of Tigard.
Principal Tim Brooks served on the Board of Directors for the Sunnyside Neighborhood Association for 20 years, including 4 years as its President.
Winterbrook led the land use and sensitive areas review process for the siting and construction of a wastewater pump station adjacent to the Lake Oswego Main Canal.
Winterbrook teamed with ECONorthwest to draft an Economic Opportunities Analysis (EOA). Part of the project included updating the City’s 2005 Buildable Lands Inventory.
Winterbrook led a team including Johnson-Reid, Otak, and DKS in evaluating the City of Scappoose’s ability to capitalize on its unique economic development and locational advantages.
Winterbrook advised the design team on compliance with Historic District Guidelines and the compatibility of improvements with the Historic District. The project was approved by the Portland Landmarks Commission and has since been constructed.
Winterbrook managed a comprehensive evaluation of scenic, cultural and natural resources in a 7,000 acre study area to determine potential impacts from urban growth boundary expansion into the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
Winterbrook assisted in determining final layout of proposed improvements so as to have minimal impact on surrounding natural resources and to ensure compliance with numerous regulations and drafting extensive findings and preparing photographic exhibits.
