NV5 recently collaborated with Winterbrook Planning on the inventory, analysis, and design of Pettit Trail, a 1.25-mile-long trail that circumvents Pettit Reservoir in Silverton, OR. NV5 was impressed with Winterbrook Planning’s responsiveness, timely work products, and attention to detail, all the while keeping the project under budget. Tim’s on-site analysis and expertise in the review of land use and development codes helped to direct the alignment and technical design of the trail. Anita and Phil’s careful assessment and delineation of the existing wetlands and streams provided the necessary information to our land surveyors for detailed mapping of natural resources. Winterbrook was also integral to the design process, providing valuable feedback to our design team, which ultimately informed the need for an elevated boardwalk section to limit impacts to the wetlands. This design and regulatory guidance enabled the project to avoid formal state and federal wetland permits, which further reduced the project scope and budget. NV5 looks forward to continuing our interactive working relationship with Winterbrook Planning on other projects in the future.
