Public Engagement for Pendleton’s Housing Production Strategy
Two of our AICP-certified planners, Grace Coffey and Larissa Gladding, recently joined the community at Pendleton’s 2nd annual Saturday Street Fair as part of the City of Pendleton Housing Production Strategy (HPS) project.
At the event, Grace and Larissa shared overviews of the HPS process, highlighted upcoming engagement opportunities, and spoke with attendees about their experiences, perspectives, and priorities related to housing in Pendleton. The outreach effort followed a stakeholder roundtable discussion focused on reviewing initial project findings.
The Housing Production Strategy, funded through a state housing planning grant program, will identify actions the City can take to encourage needed housing production, expand housing choice, and support affordability.
This work builds on Winterbrook’s previous housing planning efforts in Pendleton, including preparation of the City’s adopted Housing Capacity Analysis and residential Buildable Lands Inventory, which evaluated long-term housing needs and development capacity.
