Salem Geer Park skatepark approval

The much anticipated Geer Park Skatepark has received its land use permissions from the City of Salem. The project is now one step closer to what promises to be a great amenity to the city. The Winterbrook team, including Tim Brooks and Larissa Gladding, has secured the city approval with the talented team’s help, including the City of Salem Parks Planning and Public Works departments, Greenworks, Paul Brothers Inc., Evergreen Skateparks, and KPFF.

The Geer Park Skatepark is one of the latest phases of the 2021 Geer Park Master Plan. This phase includes features for users of different types (skateboard, roller-skate, in-line skate, bicycle, scooter) and experience levels. In addition to the skate features, other elements will include a pedestrian plaza with benches, a picnic shelter, ADA-compliant pathways, native plantings, and a rain garden for stormwater management.
