Lunch ‘n VacaSCHöN Photos
We got together recently to hear Grace and Tim share highlights from their European vacations—an event made even better by the presence of our office dogs and lunch from one of our favorite downtown spots, The Whole Bowl.
Grace kicked off the travel stories with her trip to Stockholm, where she explored the picturesque Old Town, surrounded by cafes, parks, and the colored walls of the city. She took water taxis, part of the local public transit system, and visited the Vasa ship, a Swedish navy pride that sank shortly after launch. From there, Grace traveled to Barcelona, enjoying the bustling streets, the famous Mercat de la Boqueria, and Gaudi’s architectural wonders, including the Sagrada Familia. She shared stories of the vibrant street life, local delicacies like paella, and her awe at the seamless metro system.
Tim took us on a different adventure—a bike and barge tour through France and Cycle Tours through Netherlands. Cycling through wine regions and charming towns, he connected with fellow travelers and soaked in the beauty of rural France. He was one of the few that braved the journey without an e-bike, and his journey didn’t end there—Tim continued on to Copenhagen, where he explored the city’s historic streets, and visited local galleries and lookouts from German-occupied times repurposed for tourism.
Their travels reminded us of the value of taking time to recharge and find new perspectives—a philosophy Winterbrook Planning supports wholeheartedly. Whether through vacation time or our casual, pet-friendly office culture, we encourage balance.
There are some future trips planned, and we are looking forward to hearing about where in the world our team will go next!
