Winterbrook Planning had a great time at Amity Day, connecting directly with residents about the City of Amity’s ongoing planning work. Managing Principal Jesse Winterowd, alongside Planners Larissa Gladding and Dagny Daniel, represented us at the festivities.

Amity, OR – Yamhill County

This event was a key step in two DLCD-funded projects:

1. Developing Amity’s Housing Capacity Analysis (HCA) under Oregon’s Statewide Planning Goal 10 (Housing); and
2. Preparing Comprehensive Plan updates relating to Goal 5 (Natural Resources, Scenic and Historic Areas, and Open Spaces), Goal 6 (Air, Water and Land Resources Quality), and Goal 7 (Areas Subject to Natural Hazards).

Engagement activities at our booth provided the opportunity to both inform the community about ongoing planning work and technical analyses as well as receive feedback on community concerns and priorities. Scores of residents provided input on how to make housing more accessible and desirable in Amity, opportunity areas within the city, and existing structural limitations to consider. Resident feedback from Amity Day will help guide our Project Advisory Committee (PAC) and inform an upcoming Joint Work Session with the Amity Planning Commission and City Council.
