Washington Park Reservoirs Recognized with 2026 DeMuro Award

Portland’s Washington Park Reservoir Improvement Project has earned a 2026 DeMuro Award from Restore Oregon. The DeMuro Awards recognize outstanding historic preservation projects across Oregon and honor the legacy of local preservationist Art DeMuro.

We are proud to be part of a talented and diverse team led by the Portland Water Bureau and AECOM that protected Portland’s west side drinking water while restoring this historic landmark and reopening public access to the entire historic district for the first time since the 1970s.

Winterbrook led the project’s land use and environmental team, steering a complex set of land use applications through unanimous approval by the Portland Landmarks Commission, Portland Hearings Officer, and Portland City Council.
