Malheur County hosts Oregon Joint Ways and Means Committee
Malheur County hosted a public session with State legislators on Friday. These sessions allow for dialogue between Malheur County residents and lawmakers.
A wide range of topics were on the agenda, many of which include backing economic develpment of the region. Discussions around funding the Ontario Community Recreation Center and the Treasure Valley Reload Center, and a presentation by the Eastern Oregon Border Economic Development Board helped drive that message home.
The Malheur Enterprise recently laid out funding specifics for these and other projects that were addressed at the session.
Winterbrook Planning has a long history of working in Malheur County. The venue for the event, Treasure Valley Community College, worked with Winterbrook Planning on a UGB amendment to expand their campus. We also facilitated the development of the Treasure Valley Reload Center and have helped many rural Eastern Oregon communities develop long-range planning strategies that allow their communities to thrive.
