Happy 6-year work anniversary to Phil Quarterman
Happy 6-year work anniversary to our Senior Wetland Scientist Phil Quarterman. Over 43 years in wetlands and natural-resource planning, he has honed skills in permitting, rare plant surveys, mitigation site construction, planting and monitoring, and wetland delineation.
Phil combines technical know-how with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and long-term natural resource legacy. He also shares this knowledge as a part-time instructor at Clackamas Community College’s Environmental Learning Center, leading wetland delineation workshops.
This past year, Phil contributed major work on:
- Pettit Reservoir (Silverton): He led wetland delineations and helped refine a boardwalk design that minimized impact on nearby wetlands and waterways. His evaluations supported a land-use design that avoided variances and environmental risks.
- River Terrace 2.0 (City of Tigard): Phil carried out natural-resource inventories, habitat conservation mapping, tree-grove assessments, and contributed to code amendment proposals to protect high-value environmental areas in this large-scale neighborhood planning effort.
Phil’s expertise, experience, and steady judgment strengthen Winterbrook’s environmental planning capabilities. We are grateful for his continued leadership and dedication.
