Habitat for Humanity

The Winterbrook Planning team joined Habitat for Humanity on their Foster Rd. project this week! The team picked up where the last crew left off, with painting. The whole experience was a great team-building opportunity. It feels good to get out of the office and interact with coworkers in a new way, while contributing to a cause that touches on work that we do every day.

We worked on an ADA-ready unit in the Lents neighborhood of SE Portland. It was designed to be energy efficient, and comes with Earth Advantage certification. Habitat for Humanity Portland Region gives more information about all of their homes on their website:

“All of the homes will be permanently affordable, allowing Habitat homeowners to build equity in their homes, while ensuring that the homes are affordable to the next buyer. This guarantees affordable neighborhoods in the future.”

We also wanted to give a shoutout to our Site Superintendent Kris Bultz, and Crew Lead Tala Glass. They are running a fine ship over there.

If anyone is looking to get involved with Habitat for Humanity Portland Region, you can see their opportunities here. We would highly recommend it.
