Feast in the Garden 2025: A Fall Fundraiser Experience
Last Sunday, Winterbrook Planning was proud to sponsor and attend Leach Botanical Garden’s Feast in the Garden, a fall fundraiser that combines exceptional food, wine, and community spirit in support of one of Portland’s most beloved places.

Left to Right: Tim, Gay Greger (Leach Garden Board Member) Jim Sjulin (former Portland Parks Natural Resource Program Manager), Alejandra (Tim’s wife)
Everyone enjoyed a multi-course feast prepared by Executive Chef Bryan Donaldson of Nostrana, inspired by The Italian Summer Kitchen, the new cookbook from Cathy Whims, six-time James Beard Award nominee and chef/owner of Nostrana.
The program also included silent and live auctions, as well as a paddle raise—all proceeds benefiting horticulture and programming at Leach Botanical Garden.

Upper Garden Area
Winterbrook Planning cofounder Tim Brooks was in attendance, carrying forward a partnership that stretches back more than 35 years. From early plant inventories and educational programming to guiding land use and environmental planning for the award-winning Upper Garden development with Land Morphology, Winterbrook’s history with the Garden runs deep.
We’re also grateful to stand alongside fellow sponsors Olson Kundig, POGO Pass, and OATAG, whose support helped make this year’s event such a success.
