Celebrating Clackamas Community College Bond Measure Success
Last week, Winterbrook Planning attended a celebration to mark the passage of Clackamas Community College Bond Measure 3-613, and Winterbrook Planning was proud to join the festivities. Ben Schonberger, AICP, Senior Planner, represented Winterbrook Planning at the event, held in Gregory Forum ABC.
The $120-million bond renewal reflects the community’s commitment to education and sustainable development. The funding will enable transformative projects, including the creation of a Natural Resources Center of Excellence, which will house programs in horticulture, farming, and woodland fire prevention. This new facility will also expand the welding center, include partnership spaces, and support multi-disciplinary programs with state-of-the-art teaching and safety equipment.
Additionally, the bond will fund renovations and modernization of learning spaces in older buildings to meet the demands of hybrid and distance learning. These updates will allow CCC to serve students and employers across Clackamas County, ensuring access to quality education for both urban and rural communities.
Winterbrook Planning has proudly partnered with CCC since 2003, contributing to campus planning efforts that include creating an Institutional District, developing long-term master plans, and obtaining permits for previous bond-funded projects. We’re currently collaborating with CCC on a new master plan to guide future improvements funded by this bond.
Congratulations to CCC and its community on this transformative achievement!
