Harper’s Playground Summer(ish) Soiree 2025
On September 27, we had the joy of gathering with friends and supporters at AVENUE in Portland for Harper’s Playground’s annual Summer(ish) Soiree — part fundraiser, part celebration, and entirely inspiring.
The evening began with a happy hour, followed by a program that mixed art, performance, and storytelling. Artist Sean Fader shared moving stories from Insufficient Memory: A Queer History of Forgetting, reminding us how LGBTQ+ communities are remembered in public spaces. The performance by PHAME added another powerful layer of inclusion and creativity, while DJ EZ Mix kept the energy going before and after the program.
Guests joined in a live auction, raffle, and celebration of Harper’s Playground’s vision for play spaces that are welcoming to people of all ages and abilities.
As one of the many sponsors of this year’s Soiree, Winterbrook Planning is grateful to be part of Harper’s Playground’s mission. We left the evening reminded that building inclusive playgrounds is about more than play, it’s about building equity, joy, and community, one playground at a time. Naturally.
