Winterbrook Planning policy and ordinance work featured in Malheur Enterprise
Malheur County asked Winterbrook Planning to provide guidance concerning zoning, policy, and ordinances around the novel legislation passed with Senate Bill 16. The project was funded by the Eastern Oregon Border Economic Development Board, and was recently featured in a Malheur Enterprise article surrounding the issue.
In the article, Eric Evans, the county planning director, spoke of the need to hire Winterbrook Planning:
This type of legislation has never been done before. We don’t really have the time to necessarily put this process together…I want to be thoughtful and maximize the benefit of this to everybody in Malheur County.
We are looking forward to working with the county help make this project a success. While this legislation is certainly new, we are no stranger to zoning, policy and code development. Our founder Greg Winterowd is leading the project, while Jaime Crawford, our talented GIS specialist and Assistant Planner, is focusing on the GIS and mapping work.
