Salem affordable housing project in the news

Salem affordable housing project, Mahonia Crossing, is in DJC Oregon this week!

Winterbrook Planning led land use permitting for Mahonia Crossing. Permitting for the project occurred in two phases, requiring site plan and design review, numerous adjustments to standards, and careful coordination with the design team and Salem planning officials.

The 313-unit, $115-million development will provide a mix of senior and family apartments. The housing is open to households at 30 to 80 percent of area median income, and priority for some units given to people who lost homes during wildfires. At the center of the project is a community building and senior building that will have gathering spaces, a fitness center, a movie/game room, and a library.

Construction is underway and estimated to finish in mid-2024.
