Gerding Builders has unveiled new footage showcasing the remarkable headway made on their Mahonia Crossing project.

Working with Community Development Partners and the City of Salem, Winterbrook Planning led land use permitting for Mahonia Crossing. Permitting for the project occurred in two phases, requiring site plan and design review, numerous adjustments to standards, and careful coordination with the design team and Salem planning officials.

The $115-million project, featuring 313 units, is a beacon of hope for the community, offering a blend of senior and family apartments. Designed with inclusivity in mind, Mahonia Crossing welcomes households at 30 to 80 percent of the area median income, with priority given to those affected by wildfires.

The heart of this development lies in its community and senior buildings, promising gathering spaces, fitness facilities, a movie/game room, and a library.
