On Saturday, Jesse Winterowd, our managing principal, had his 27th anniversary with the company. As with all of our senior staff Jesse has been with us since the very beginning.

In his current position, Jesse has a role in nearly every project that comes through our doors. At the moment, Jesse is devoting a lot of attention to a couple large disaster resiliency projects, including the Core3 project in Redmond, and the expansion of Astoria’s Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Over his time with the company, he has worked with dozens of cities to prepare long-range planning analyses including urban growth boundary amendments, housing needs analyses, buildable lands inventories, development code amendments, and public facilities plans. He has prepared and implemented successful permitting approaches for scores of projects in the public and private sectors, including schools, colleges, correctional facilities, utility infrastructure, commercial, medical, industrial and residential buildings. He has also provided planning oversight and direction as a contract city planner for several jurisdictions over the last 20+ years.

From entry-level planner to managing principal, he is a shining example of what Winterbrook Planning stands for. His work can be summarized best with our mission statement:

We help integrate people, communities, and the natural and built environments through the provision of a broad range of land-use and environmental planning services.
We craft innovative, thorough, and locally tailored solutions for governments, private clients, and nonprofits throughout Portland and the Pacific Northwest.

Happy anniversary Jesse!
